PARENTS

Soccer is really a sport for all ages and great summer fun. Team building and new friendships are a great way to develop physical and social skills. You don't need alot of equiptment or special facilities to kick a ball around a field and learn the basics. Our soccer fields just west of Simcoe have 15 fields and practice areas are a great environment for "The beautiful game".

Divisions

Under 4

U4 PLAY 3 aside (4 v 4) No goalkeeper.

Players have a 15-minute practice.

5-minute break.

2 x 10-minute game with a 5-minute half time break.

No offside, all free kicks are indirect and kick in only. No refs, a coach from each team can be on field with players.

Last game of season they will have a Fun Day.

Under 5 & 6

U5 & U6 PLAY 5 aside (5 v 5) with a goalkeeper.

Players have a 15-minute practice.

5-minute break.

2 x 15-minute game with a 5-minute half time break.

No offside, all free kicks are indirect, kick in only. All attacking players must retreat to centre retreat line once goalkeeper has ball. Attacking team can move forward once ball has been played by goalie. No refs, a coach from each team can be on field with players. Only one coach will ref a half a game.

Total 55 minutes.

Last game of season they will have a Fun Day.

Thunder and lightening the games must stop and players must leave the field of play. If you see thunder/lightening and have no refs Coaches, please call the game and get players to safety. If you have an Official, please bring to their attention so they can let players know that the game is over and get players to safety. If it is only raining, we continue to play game is not stopped.

If we have extreme heat and it is over 30 degrees water breaks are mandatory for all divisions.

Under 7 & 8

U7 PLAY 5 aside (5 v 5) with a goalkeeper.

No refs except on tournament days.

Players have a practice on a different day to their game night.

2 x 20-minute game with a 5-minute half time break.

No offside, all free kicks are indirect, kick in only. All attacking players must retreat to centre retreat line once goalkeeper has ball. Attacking team can move forward once ball has been played by goalie. No refs. A coach from each team may ref a half a game. Players do not have coaches with them on field of play only as a ref.

Total 45 minutes. The games will have refs for tournament on a Friday and Saturday in June.

Under 9 & 10

U9 PLAY 9 aside, 9 v 9 with goalkeeper.

Players have a practice on a different day to their game night.

2 x 25-minute game with a 5-minute half time break.

No offside, all free kicks are indirect, kick in only. All attacking players must retreat to retreat line once goalie has ball. Attacking team can move forward once ball has been played by goalie.

Total 55 minutes. Refs for each game. Tournament in June.

Under 11 & 12

U11 PLAY 11 aside, 11 v 11 FIFA Laws apply.

2 x 30-minute game with a 5-minute half time break.

Total 65 minutes. 3 Officials for each game, Tournament in June.

Under 14 COED

U14 PLAY 11 aside, 11 v 11 FIFA Laws apply.

2 x 35-minute game with a 5-minute half time break.

Total 75 minutes. 3 Officials for each game, Tournament in June.

UNDER 18 BOYS

U18, Boys PLAY 11 aside, 11 v 11 FIFA Laws apply.

2 x 45-minute game with a 5-minute half time break.

Total 95 minutes. 3 Officials for each game, Tournament in June.

Under 18 GIRLS

U18, Women PLAY 11 aside, 11 v 11 FIFA Laws apply.

2 x 45-minute game with a 5-minute half time break.

Total 95 minutes. 3 Officials for each game, Tournament in June.

Women

Women PLAY 11 aside, 11 v 11 FIFA Laws apply.

2 x 40-minute game with a 5-minute half time break.

Total 85 minutes. 3 Officials for each game, Tournament in June.

Having your children on a soccer team teaches them to work with others while getting lots of quality exercise.
All parents will sign Rowan’s Law, a mandatory form, during registration. This makes you aware of the dangers of head injuries and the protocol SDYSC coaches and parents must follow for the safety of players of all ages.
All parents must abide by our Zero Tolerance Policy which can be found in the Constitution Rules & Regs section on the home page.

PARENTS CHECK LIST

When registering your child/children please make sure that you click YES to opt in. If you do not you will not receive emails from the club with information.

When adding Special request please only put one name of a player. You need to have both parent request each other’s child.

No request is guaranteed. We use Auto roster from registration system do not request a coach. Coaches are added to teams after teams have been rostered.

Information on the up coming season whether Outdoor or Indoor will be posted on home page check out before you register you child.

Information posted will be age group, day play, times games maybe, fee for each division.

RED CARD

Discipline Panel will hold a Discipline By Review for all issued Red Cards, Coach & player (parents) will be notified of decision.
All red carded players will please sit on the opposite side of the field from the coaches and players bench
