THE SOCCER PARENTS FAIR PLAY CODES
- Encourage your child to play by the rules of the game and exhibit good sportsmanship.
- Show your appreciation of volunteer coaches and officials.
- Teach your children to respect decisions by officials.
- Never ridicule or yell at your child for making a mistake.
- Teach your child that honest effort is as important as winning.
- Be lavish with praise when your child learns a new skill and practices fair play.
- As spectators, applaud all good plays - both your teams and the opponent’s team.
- Actions speak louder than words – let your behaviour set a good example for your child.
- Remember that children play for their fun and enjoyment, not ours!
